"I upgraded at check in counter"
I upgraded at check in counter. Firstly I had to go back and forth 2 times to pay and confirm my upgrade. Took 30 mins to print boarding pass as they don’t know how to do upgrade and had to wait for manager/supervisor to arrive.
Once the boarding pass was printed supervisor told us that we are allowed to access lounge as we upgrade. And even when I paid I asked the lady at the counter if we get access for lounge and told us yes.
When we arrived at the lounge rude staff told us no and started talking in local language. And just told us no.

"No customer service and thieves"
No customer service and when getting told the luggage they left in UK wasn't going to on time for a wedding the reply was cancel your wedding and come back another time.Shocking Airline who you can tell is stated on with no oversight other than income.They will steal your belongings and ignore you

Update they have decided to delay it again to quote save money for the airline ,aviod booking as clearly they are so short of money they risk going under and as they are state owned watch visiting a country that is going under and run the risk of loosing your trip

"Embarrassing and shocking (Broken Luggage)"
Embarrassing and shocking. Been dealing with Air Mauritius baggage claims since my flight on 7 October where my brand new luggage was destroyed. It’s now been 3 months, they don’t reply to emails, request same forms to be completed multiple times, and sometimes emails even bounce back as their “inbox is full”.

I’ve provided all documents and even original receipts of price of luggage (who even keeps those?!) which was brand new, and their offer was a small percentage of what my luggage actually cost! Furthermore they stated this amount would be paid by bank transfer within 5 days after accepting my claim and all bank details - it’s now been 2 months and they’ve completely disappeared with no payment received!!

DO NOT FLY AIR MAURITIUS IF YOU’RE NOT WILLING TO OUT UP WITH SUCH DISGUSTING SERVICE AND INCOMPETENCE

"No refund"
80 days since request and still no sight of refund. They don’t reply to email, phone, Facebook Messanger. Nothing.
Just wish I had seen other similar reviews earlier, completely unprofessional.

"This company is an absolute sham we…"
This company is an absolute sham we have been travelling throughout South Africa with 2 bags. When we travelled from Johannesburg to Mauritius we thought we had enough weight allowance with 2 x 20kg per person. When checking in we were told by a very surly check in person that both bags were overweight!! We asked them to explain since we had an allowance of 40kg per person how could this be the case. Now here comes the most nonsensical answer that I have ever heard …….. we were told that no 1 individual bag was allowed to be over 20kg so if we had 4 bags that totalled 80kgs that was fine but we had two bags 1 at 32kg and one at 25kg we were over weight even though the total 57kg. There was no budging on their behalf we had to pay 2100 rand or they would not let us on the flight. AVOID AT ALL COST.

"Still waiting for a refund after 2 years"
Still waiting for my refund due to cancellation of flight during covid outbreak 2 years ago.Not sure how they get away with not refunding clients money.Very poor and disappointing company.

"I have booked 4 tikets with agency and…"
I have booked 4 tikets with agency and now i can see only 3 tikets my child tikets is missing i contact my agency they told me they have contact air mauritius as they cancel it i also contact airfrance because i have connection flight on my trip they also told me air mauritius cancel it now i left 3 tikets and my child is only 6 years old how can i travel without her what should do i contact air mauritius they told they didn't cancel it so where is my tikets

"Absolute robbery as no refund for over 2.5 years"
If I could give less than 1 star I would! Absolutely horrible customer service. I have been waiting over 2.5 YEARS for my refund from a cancelled trip. I have chased via email and phone calls for every week for the past year. I thought I was more than understanding by allowing them 1 year to get back on their feet once the pandemic had calmed down. Absolutely no recognition from them about their illegal act of stealing my money. This is pure robbery now! RA number: 0400446801

"Harsh luggage rules"
Charged us 65 dollars for our luggage being 3kg overweight even though we only had one bag and were allowed 2 bags at 20kg each... So I'm 17kg under our total allowance but still get charged because we don't have 2 bags. Doesn't make any sense and found it really harsh that they charged.

DO NOT FLY WITH AIR MAURITIUS! A one star review is one star too many!
Absolutely horrendous customer service. I have been trying to get a refund for over two and a half months!!! I have now just learnt some people have been waiting over two years.....
No one answers any of my emails, spent hours on the phone trying to get through and when you finally do every department says there is nothing they can do to help. If you want good customer service find a respectable airline.

"Don’t book with airmauritius"
I booked with Airmauritius for a vacation in January and they cancelled my flight 15 days before the trip (end of December) Since that i am trying to get the flight price back, without success. I’ve been waiting for 3 month now to get reimbursed. I am not sure if they are insolvent or not but this is the worst customer service i have experienced so far.

"Fantastic Service"
I just wanted to say how blown away I was by the service I received from Air Mauritius, both the SA team, and the Mauritius one. As a travel agent, it's quite stressful getting that dreaded call from a passenger, saying they have Covid, but my complements to Melissa Mckay, Dineo, Jenny and Letisha, not only did they not mind to help me on a Sunday, but they kept me in the loop at all times. Fantastic service!!

"Very dissapointed"
Very dissapointed after the long wait of actually being able to fly as no refund option was charged a further £108 each as the airline said they were only flying from Paris and not London.A week later they were flying from London so I asked them to change tickets and was told would have to pay yet again which I refused.on our flight out of Paris with Air mauritius found that the aircraft was not cleaned properly and the toilets were only checked once just before landing which were disgusting.very dissapointed and zlthough these are difficult times would not recommend this airline unless they get their act together.
